Pakistan
In the summer of 2022, Pakistan was hit by heavy monsoon rains that resulted in a third of the country being submerged. 33 million people have been affected, over 1,000 have died, and one million homes have been destroyed.
Oxfam is on the ground with hygiene kits, emergency food and shelter for the people of the country.
East Africa
Extreme drought, coupled with conflict and the pandemic, has caused a huge hunger crisis in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan. Someone dies in the region every 36 seconds.
